Introducing...
04:45
|
|||
Out from the curtain, two figures step out
They look to themselves and they share some doubt
About if anybody will believe about what they’re startin'
A musical odyssey for the heart and for the noggin
They play their instruments with sheer ferocity
They are the best damn band in all of history
I think that’s about it of what I have to say
Alright, fellas… time to play

The Fourth Wave
03:42
|
|||
Coming back to you with a familiar sound
It’s got you grooving and a-gliding on the floor with a pound
It’s a happy vibe that gives you no worries
And all the people screaming is just what Jingles need
There was the first and the second and third wave of ska
Each one innovating as we all grooved along
But it’s time I feel for a renovation
Of something that’s nostalgic and that will unite the nation
There’s a fourth wave coming from the ground to the top of the music sphere
There’s a fourth wave traveling, channeling, battling its way to a new frontier
And all we’ve got to show is this tune that we hope will grow
Into a fourth wave dominating every music maker and its reign will be aglow
Sounds of The Wailers and The Specials echo
Through the hollow hollow streets of a ska-less home
The tone and the melody go hand in hand
So everyone alive, we’ve gotta make a stand
This genre shouldn’t die it should be reborn
The tunes captivated us not too long ago
So come on, I know you really want to join the fanfare
Cause those upbeat strokes are gonna make you jump in the air
There’s a fourth wave coming from the ground to the top of the music sphere
There’s a fourth wave traveling, channeling, battling its way to a new frontier
And all we’ve got to show is this tune that we hope will grow
Into a fourth wave dominating every music maker and its reign will be aglow
Gwen Stefani
She doesn’t make music like this no more
Bradley Nowell
Ain’t alive to tell no tales no more
People from 2 tone ain’t around no more
Strummer from The Clash ain’t around no more
Aimee Interrupter singing Billie Eillish covers
When will, when will, when will, when will, when will we discover
There’s a fourth wave coming from the ground to the top of the music sphere
There’s a fourth wave traveling, channeling, battling its way to a new frontier
And all we’ve got to show is this tune that we hope will grow
Into a fourth wave dominating every music maker and its reign will be aglow

Bethany from work is getting on my nerves again
Why do people do what they do?
She’s given me a list of things that need to be done
Printed out, that list is eight-foot-two
And she expects me to be finished by the fourth of July
I can only predict my hair will gray
I gladly took this job but I don’t know why
I ask myself every day
No, I don’t have time to go home
Only to the post office down the street
My fleeting life is monochrome
I gotta have a little bite to eat
It’s the age of swift communication
Everyone’s looking to save some time
Don’t bother with a whole damn pie
Just send me a single slice
Stuff it right in my P.O. box
I’ll be there by Sunday night
I’m a busy guy (I got stocks and bonds)
I just want a little cheesy delight
Working at Wall Street surely has its perks
I’ve always got oodles of cash
But I’m constantly surrounded by vainglorious jerks
If I could, I would quit in a flash
I haven’t seen my wife and son in ten days or more
Why must this be my fatal flaw?
No matter where I am, it’s just chore after chore
I need a piece of thick crust 'za!
It’s the age of swift communication
Everyone’s looking to save some time
Don’t bother with a whole damn pie
Just send me a single slice
Stuff it right in my P.O. box
I’ll be there by Sunday night
I’m a busy guy (I got stocks and bonds)
I just want a little cheesy delight
I’ll take olives, and bacon,
and throw some feta cheese on that pie
But if the slice doesn’t fit in my P.O. box,
I might just start to cry
Email pizzas don’t taste as good,
I gotta have some physical kale
I dream all day of the singular slice
That I need you to mail
No, I don’t have time to go home
Only to the post office down the street
My fleeting life is monochrome
I gotta have a little bite to eat
It’s the age of swift communication
Everyone’s looking to save some time
Don’t bother with a whole damn pie
Just send me a single slice
Stuff it right in my P.O. box
I’ll be there by Sunday night
I’m a busy guy (I got stocks and bonds)
I just want a little cheesy delight

Swiper Murdered My Mom
04:25
|
|||
Down on the yellow road, with my mother in tow
The sun is shining, we’re all packed up and riding
Walking with our map, and our purple backpack
Going to the corn fields, trying to find if the treasure’s real
But what do I see, creeping up behind me
A sly little fox, and he’s coming for my mom
Swiper murdered my mom
Swiper took an axe
Then he cut her half
Right before my eyes
I had met him before, but I didn’t know what he had in store
Damn that monster infamous, always trying to steal from us
I told him no, oh please Swiper no no no
Swiper no swiping, Swiper no swiping
He said “oh man,” and whimpered back to his hill on the land
But further down the track, Swiper prepared his counterattack
Swiper murdered my mom
Swiper took an axe
Then he cut her half
Right before my eyes
When he was finished, he looked at me with interest
A smile on his face, he exclaimed, “you’re too late”
He took the axe out, trying to make me down for the count
Creeping up to me, I fear that I am dead meat
He jumped at me with an evil grin, his blade was nearing my chin
My eyes opened to my screams, good god it was only a dream
Swiper murdered my mom
Swiper took an axe
Then he cut her half
Right before my eyes

Hex
05:07
|
|||
Can’t remember if I came here by sea or by land
Something that I don’t know and can’t understand has taken hold of the back of my neck and is pulling me down
And it borrows time to tell me all that is is self-contained
Explains away minutiae that don’t need to be explained
Then sends me up again, before it spins me twice around
Can you hear the walls? They emit the strangest sounds
Objects that I’ve placed before have been moved all around
I gotta get to work and I’ve got to get paid
I can’t be bothered if it’s real or man-made
Can I get directions to the local graveyard twist?
I’ve been itching up and down that there was something that I missed
I don’t have time for small talk, so please just tell me where to go
I never took a proper class on how to raise the dead, and tried to look into the future for some expertise instead
Doesn’t matter now — I’ll find it in the hex below
Ask me where I’ll be when this city gets left behind
Spirits running down the clock and I’m running outta time
Got to get my game on; the road has taken a sharp right turn
Ain’t no one to teach me all that I can never learn

I need to address this, it's eating me inside
Oh, the breadth of my crimes is five miles wide
I've been a good man, and our friendship's sublime
but I fear your reaction when you hear that I've lied
When you made a reference, I said that I got it,
We shared a good laugh and our troubles were small
I have something to tell you, you're not gonna like it,
but it's time to come clean that I've never seen Seinfeld at all
I've seen Jerry's face, I've heard of Elaine
There's a guy who's got glasses, but I don't know his name
It's set in a city, New York or somewhere
The extent of my knowledge stops there
I'm not completely naïve, no, I've seen some TV
Shows like Fargo and Lost are more the ones for me
That's not to disparage your show's devotees
I respect all forms of art, you see
So call me uncultured and call me a swine
I hate to admit, it's just not worth my time
When life's as short as it is, you have to make your own choice
regarding things you take in and the things you decline
Well, we all make mistakes and we always regret it
Walking is nothing, but you still trip and fall
It was one conversation, it's all in the past now,
So please just forgive me, and forget this ever happened at all
So I've made it clear, now you know
the ugly truth — I'm not a fan of Jerry's show
I never turned to NBC, years ago,
in my youth, with all the time in the world — did I just throw it away?
Did I just throw it away?
Did I just throw it away?
All my time, did I throw it all away?
When you made a reference, I said that I got it,
We shared a good laugh and our troubles were small
I have something to tell you, you're not gonna like it,
but it's time to come clean that I've never seen Seinfeld at all

Song for the Country
04:33
|
|||
This is a song for the country
That makes us feel right at home
This is a song for the country
That echoes wherever we roam
From Washington to Florida and Maine to Arizona you’ll be home
There’s no place for which you can hide from the vibrations in the sky
Of the song for the country
We’ll play the anthem on repeat
This is a song for the country
No other song shall compete
It'll play on all the radios and it'll be on your playlists so you’ll know
It'll cover all the billboard spots and will be streamed around the clock
It’s the song for the country
It shall ascend while the others plateau
This is a song for the country
And here is the harmonica solo
We’ll round anybody that tries to step out of line
This is just phase one of the new world order
It’s the song for the country
There’s no need to change the channel
This is a song for the country
We’ll repeat this if you can’t tell
This is a song for the country
Da dee dee dee dee dee dee dee dum
This is a song for the country
Let’s rewind the tape to have more fun

Space Jamming
12:07
|
|||
Can you hear me SAUL
I’ve been floating around
Space jamming to stars
On Charon and Mars
Supernova blasts
And asteroid clasts
Coming down on me
Open the doors please
Can you hear me SAUL
I can’t hear no sounds
Xenomorphs and Vulcan tongues
Monoliths and kessel runs
Space jamming in voids
Blackstar holes and Floyd
Aren’t you pleased with me
Open the doors please

Vampire of Good Vibes
03:43
|
|||
Well who lives in the scary castle down the scary road?
Records say the resident has got no name
Who dares to walk the empty moat, where a river once flowed
You know that no one’s ever come back the same
Well there have been a happy few who have felt so compelled
To walk through these doors and into the hall
When they return they’re nothing but a shell of their former selves
And they don’t remember anything at all
I’m the vampire of good vibes
No one out there can hear your cries
So sit down — I just go to town
When the moon starts to rise
I'm the vampire of good vibes
Take a good look into my eyes
Cause they’ll be the last thing that you see
before your vibes are all mine
“Oh, he was such a pleasant guy,” the people say about their friend
“It’s a shame the lifeless man that he became”
They don’t know there was a moment when his vibes met their end
They say “we wonder if he’ll ever be the same”
Oh, if only they knew the look of terror on his face
As I rose from my coffin once again
I sunk my teeth into his neck — his vibes were gone without a trace
Then sent him home with not a memory in his brain
I’m the vampire of good vibes
You can visit me anytime
Don’t be scared, just be aware
your vibes are looking so fine
I’m the vampire of good vibes
I leave all my clients alive
Come on in, show me some skin
of which I’ve been so deprived
Oh, I don’t mean any harm, yes that’s just the way I am
You should be grateful that your blood’s of no concern to me
I never liked the flavor, too much iron to a gram
Good vibes are much more to my taste, don’t you agree?
I’m the vampire of good vibes
Extremely strong and exceedingly wise
I own a yacht, and I’m super hot
Just peep my muscular thighs
I’m the vampire of good vibes
I’ll take zest and zeal of all kinds
So sit down — I just go to town
when the moon starts to rise
I’m the vampire of good vibes

Rural Punk
03:17
|
|||
I know I said I wanted to leave for the city
But I feel out of place every day of the week
I wanna go home
Go back southside where I stood out
Too many urbanites seem to be just like me
I miss the days where I was the indie king
I wanna go home
Go back southside where I stood out
Home is where I wanna be
Home is a place I can only dream
Home is between two hills somewhere in the funk
Home is where I’m a rural punk
I’m a rural punk

Jellyfish
06:40
|

I feel like I am floating with no care
Stuck in my Medusa phase for a while
Fluorescent streaks I create in my turns
I’ve got no worries anymore
I’m running out of time, got the finger on the line
A place that no one knows inside belly starts to rot
Creeping up in age, Scyphozoa days
Coming up in the blink of an eye
I can’t even swim, nature is my guide
To take me through my life until the end
I don’t stay too low or else I’ll freeze to death
I’ve got to trust something keep intact
I feel like I am floating with no care
Stuck in my Medusa phase for a while
Fluorescent streaks I create in my turns
I’ve got no worries anymore
I’ve got no worries anymore

Wyoming
07:47
|
|||
Break away from a winding path of fruitless escapades
You’ve seen the Blue Ridge Mountains and the luscious Everglades
Make yourself at home and settle down in an open field
Just give it time, your soul will heal
Oh, to look outside and see there ain’t no one around
There’s something captivating 'bout the empty, barren ground
A wild horse might pass you by, or a dancing tumbleweed
But love the still, it’s all you need
The racing games of Louisville will only wear you out
Reconsider tangibles you cannot live without
Pack your bags and lock your door, we’re leaving yesterday
So let your woes just drift away
Through your dusty window you’ll be given seeing eyes
Let the light come in and let your needs be realized
Pull your saddle off the shelf and leave the world behind
The things we do for peace of mind
---
Wyoming is the place for me and you
It was the 44th state to join the crew
I know no one really lives there
But I heard the weather’s decent, so that’s fair
Its name means a big plain
And I hear it’s got a lot of deer
So will you join me so we can go to the equality state called
Wyoming
Wyoming
Wyoming is the place for me
I assure that you won’t be deterred
Cause they had the first female governor
Wyoming is a place in which I dote
It was the first state to give the right to vote (to women)
Its name means a big plain
And I hear it’s got a lot of deer
So will you join me so we can go to the equality state called
Wyoming
Wyoming
Wyoming is the place for me
Wyoming gave the Sundance Kid his name
Wyoming makes bison free to reign
And I don’t want to be disappointing
But there’s no Brokeback Mountain in Wyoming (aw, shucks)
But Wyoming’s got so much more than that
It’s where Rocky trained in Rocky IV, how ‘bout that
Old Faithful, Dinosaurs, the first monument
Wyoming is the best thing in my life to ever happen
Its name means a big plain
And I hear it’s got a lot of deer
So will you join me so we can go to the equality state called
Wyoming
Wyoming
Wyoming is the place for me

He looked at his thighs, he looked at his rear
(He looked at himself and he shed a tear)
“I don’t scare people like I used to”

“I gotta make a change, the answer’s clear”

Took a Wrong Turn
06:22
|
|||
Driving down a backwoods road at night, I lost my way
My phone was out of power, and I’d lost my road map earlier that day
Just when I was ready to give up and turn around
A massive rip in spacetime opened up and tore me through the ground
I always knew there’d come a day when God got tired of me
But she didn’t know she’d give me some brand new sights to see
The wormhole that she planted sent me flying through time and space
But I opened up my heart and calmly stepped into this very different place
The visions that she must have had of futures yet to pass
To drop me in a boundless world where every house is made of glass
Not a single soul at fault, no blame to pass around
Just one unlucky turn
Before you know, you could be tearing through the ground

For Your Consideration
02:52
|
|||
For your consideration
I think this jam can do
All the things that Marvin Gaye
Prophecized to you
But hold up there, what do you see
Two pasty boys deep in the beat
I know that we don’t look the part
But we’ve got soul and that’s a start
For your consideration
A Grammy nod will do
For your consideration
This track has got the vibe
Tina Turner would be proud
Of my voice so smooth as ice
Grammys beware, we’ve got a song
That’s taken us time to make it strong
A buttery finesse to add to the music
We’ll show you how to make this groove fluid
For your consideration
A Grammy nod will do (yeah, take it away Breese)
If Ween could do it, then so can we
Soul’s not as easy as ABC
But we’ve been studying and digging down
To make the best soul in this soulless town
For your consideration
A Grammy win will do
